This scheme is open to residents of the Council only, and any residents applying for a tree must abide by the following terms and conditions.

Applications for this scheme open on 9th November 2023 and closes on 19th January 2024 (or when the total available number of trees has been reached and applied for).

A maximum of 750 trees are available to be applied for in this scheme. With 500 trees available to Hounslow Residents.

Only one tree per household.

Residents will be required to sign-up to Hounslow Greentalk and then complete the registration/application form.

The tree must be planted in the borough on land in your ownership or land under your control e.g. property garden. Trees cannot be planted on road verges or communal external areas such as parks and open spaces without the permission of the landowner/lease owner/landlord.

The tree must not be used to fulfil a landscape condition imposed with any planning permission or enforcement action.

The tree must not be used for resale and or any other commercial purposes.

Residents will have the opportunity to select a specific tree type on the application form. The Council endeavours to supply the tree type selected but reserves the right to substitute that tree for an equivalent if the original tree is not available.

Residents will be required to pick up their allocated tree directly from the collection point allocated and must supply the Order ID, which can be found on the confirmation email after the booking.

If you do not collect your tree on the allocated date/time and without prior notice, the Council reserves the right to re-allocate the tree to another applicant.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to plant the tree provided.

It is the responsibility of the applicant to maintain the tree and undertake aftercare.

The Council reserves the right to request imagery proof of the trees being planted in the location stated within the application process. This is to ensure that our trees have reached their allocated new home and are not being used for commercial purposes.

The Council reserves the right to keep a record of the tree planting in the agreed location.

The Council may ask from time to time, for an update on how the trees are developing, for the purposes of monitoring the success of the scheme and sharing updates on our news pages.
