We appreciate all of you that turned up to pick up your tree at any of our 3 events that took place in since the scheme opened in October. We have successfully given out over 400 trees out of the 500 we offered, and we could not have done it without you!
The remaining trees will be planted in our parks and open spaces and will be plotted on the Greentalk Green Walk map for you to explore.
By participating in the giveaway and planting your free tree, you have contributed to the Borough’s commitment to reduce its carbon footprint in the bid to tackle climate change and have helped increase the green canopy of the borough and in the long term help create a greener and more resilient environment for all of us.
If you didn’t get a chance this time round to register or pick one up, keep a look out for similar schemes in the near future on the Greentalk and London Borough of Hounslow websites.
We hope you enjoy your free tree, and we look forward to seeing your trees blossom.
Take part in The Queen’s Green Canopy
We encourage you to show off your newly planted tree and take part in The Queen’s Green Canopy, which commemorates The Queen’s 70 years of service to the Nation. Read our article with more information about The Queen’s Green Canopy and how you can participate.
