The scheme is intended to involve and educate residents of all ages in shaping a sustainable cleaner and greener future for the borough. Tree planting is an immensely rewarding activity which promotes health and well-being as well as pride and ownership within a community. The council is eager to follow through with the commitment of significantly reducing the borough's carbon footprint as part of the Climate Emergency that was declared in 2019. It is also one of our schemes that residents can participate in as part of the Leaders promise to plant 7,500 trees in the borough for this 22/23 planting season.
This year it will also be available to schools and allotments as well as individuals who live in the borough.
The process will remain the same as last year, where residents wanting to participate can use Greentalk’s online platform to book a collection date, find out details of events, as well as receiving information on aftercare for their tree.
Please note it is still one tree per household as we have branched out to more groups we want as many different people to receive a free tree! Click here to book your free tree now.
The final date for the last tree giveaways is:
Sunday, 15 January: Hounslow Heath car park
Giveaways have already taken place at:
