Thank you
The Free Trees has ended

The Free Trees scheme has now ended for the year.

.

The London Borough of Hounslow has a commitment to significantly reduce our Borough’s carbon footprint by pledging to plant 7500 trees this 22/23 planting season and help our local community get more involved with the environment they live in.

During the winter of 2023-2024, 750 fruit trees were offered to residents, schools, community groups and faith groups, so that together we could make a difference and make our Borough Greener!

About the Trees

There were 6 tree species available; fit for small, medium and large sized gardens. The tree types were:

  • Brown Turkey Fig
  • Apple 'Elstar'
  • Apple 'Golden Delicious'
  • Pear 'Doyenne du Comice'
  • Victoria Plum
  • Hazel ‘Kentish Cob’

Trees will be approximately 60cm in height. All trees will come in a pot and will need to be taken out and planted into the ground during their dormant stages.
